• Under the Kanyadan scheme, financial assistance of Rs 35,000 will be provided to the daughter at the time of her marriage.
• It is mandatory for the girl to be above 18 years of age at the time of marriage.

Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana Eligibility criteria

• Interested person should be a resident of Jharkhand. That is, for the last 10 years that person should be living in Jharkhand.
• The benefits of this scheme will be given only to the financially poor family. Therefore, the income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 75,000.
• Both the bride and groom must be at the minimum legal age of marriage. The age of the girl should be 18 years and the age of the boy should be more than 21 years.
• All the applicants should be in the category of Below Poverty Line (BPL).
• The member of the candidate should not be employed in the services of any State or Central Government.
• Financial assistance will not be applicable at the time of remarriage.
• Orphan girls of the state who do not belong to the BPL category are also eligible to get assistance under Mukyamantri Kanyadan Yojna Jharkhand.
