Punjab Free Sanitary Napkin Scheme

Punjab state Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh started a new scheme named free sanitary napkins in which government provide free sanitary napkins to the girls studying in schools and colleges. This scheme was started on 7th January 2021.

The government has taken a big decision on girls' health. The government has taken this step for the cleanliness of the girls. Various camps are also conducted in the boy's school to change the thinking of Mensuration. this is the most difficult time for every girl. so the government of Punjab takes this step for girl's hygiene. 40.55 crore will be spent in this scheme."Udaan" This scheme has been named.

School drop-outs, out-of-school girls, young women not attending college, women from BPL families, homeless women, residents of slum areas, those women who are not availing subsidy can take advantage of this scheme.

In this scheme, 9 pads will be given to each woman.
