Sshrishti began in 2002 at the home of its founder, Ms. Sanghamitra Bose, providing informal education to 50-60 youngsters on a daily basis, and lasted nearly a year. Sshrishti, which means creation in Sanskrit, was established as a trust on December 12, 2003, and moved into its first rented space in September 2004.
Sshrishti has achieved remarkable progress in the previous fifteen years, with the goal of creating a literate and empowered India. The footsteps of Sshrishti cover the states of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Punjab are all states in India. Today, learning centres reach out to 1500 impoverished children every day, providing quality early childhood education, bridge-learning opportunities, and nutrition in the form of a daily noon meal. Sshrishti educates adolescents with digital literacy and skill development training, allowing them to have a better future, and works to empower women through our livelihood generation and gender justice programmes.

Vision:- To build a literate and egalitarian society in which every child and woman has the opportunity to realise their ambitions.
Mission:- To achieve a literate and empowered India by delivering an education that fosters social fairness and promotes inclusive development by bridging the developmental divide between our country's rural and urban areas.
Internet saathi
In February 2018, Sshrishti launched Internet Saathi, its largest and most ambitious initiative, in Uttarakhand. Sshrishti has successfully operated the programme in 8 districts of Uttarakhand with project assistance from FREND (Google and Tata Trusts), reaching 10 lakhs target women beneficiaries and teaching them how to use the Internet and become digitally literate.
The women who benefited from the programme were taught how to use the internet and its immense repository of information, as well as how to leverage sites like as Google and YouTube to develop skills that matched their interests. Many women are already putting their newfound knowledge to good use by starting small enterprises and diversifying their sources of income.
Sshrishti has now expanded the Internet Saathi programme to four districts in Punjab: In Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, Pathankot, and Sangrur, 4 lakh women beneficiaries were reached.
Using their developed communication skills, Sshrishti is also concentrating on offering novel chances for livelihood for the 1775 Saathis in Uttarakhand.
Women Empowerment
Sshrishti's Women's Empowerment initiative, which began in May 2012, aims to give vocational training and skill development opportunities to women from underprivileged communities, as well as establish marketing networks to ensure that its beneficiaries have a steady source of income. This skill provision-production-marketing model aims to enhance effective capacity in women from underprivileged neighbourhoods, fostering self-sufficiency and employability.
Digital Literacy
Sshrishti thinks that digital literacy would not only supplement schooling and education but also boost employability, considerably improving the quality of livelihood options for youngsters from marginalised and impoverished communities. Sshrishti's curriculum is designed to achieve the following goals:
The programme began in the Rajasthan village of Surana in 2008 and has now expanded to include villages in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
In Delhi and Uttarakhand, a rigorous programme is still in place. Over 6000 pupils have benefited from Sshrishti's digital literacy programme.
Schooling: Education for the 21st.century
Sshrishti wants to quickly address India's poorest communities' urgent shortage of educational and schooling opportunities. It also aims to address persistently low learning outcomes and high dropout rates by providing a holistic learning programme for underprivileged children that includes quality education, proper nutrition, life-skill training, and the development of artistic and athletic abilities.
