Anand Mohan Singh is a politician, author, and poet who founded the far-right Bihar People's Party (BPP). Singh served a three-month prison term in 1983 but was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly as a Janata Dal (JD) representative from the Mahishi seat in 1990. He created the BPP in 1993 and ran for and lost the state assembly elections in 1995.
