About Austin Wray Perkins: - Austin Wray Perkins, 25, was arrested and held without bail in the Floyd County Jail for felony aggravated child molestation and child sexual exploitation. One of seven people detained this week in a multi-agency child pornography investigation was a Floyd County youth preacher. According to Floyd County authorities, he purposefully mistreated a youngster in his care and created pornographic films.

 

On Wednesday, police claim to have rescued a kid who was being used by Perkins. Floyd County police Sgt. Chris Fincher said the youngster had no relatives or support and had been taken in for care. The juvenile who was apprehended by police was living with someone who was teaching the youngster how to behave in films while simultaneously indulging in child molestation.

Austin Wray Perkins Cause of Arrested: - Fincher stated that among the material obtained were explicit images and recordings involving youngsters from 2 to 12 years old. Some of the information seized by investigators was created in the United States, while others were distributed globally through social media, online chat groups, and messenger applications. According to authorities, each time the files are shared, the children are re-victimized.

 

"These were innocent youngsters in a difficult situation," Fincher explained. "We're going to do all we can to get them to help."

 

During the two-day operation, six more persons were apprehended in Floyd County. The Floyd County Police Department, in collaboration with the United States Secret Service and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, titled the event "Spring Cleaning."

 

A 16-year-old was the seventh person detained as part of the investigation.

 

More arrests are likely as the investigation progresses, according to authorities. The two-day investigation was also assisted by the United States Secret Service Cyber Crime Task Force, which included two Cobb County Police Department, investigators. Seven members of the task force were able to undertake on-the-spot investigations of computers, phones, and gaming devices to acquire evidence in a couple of hours. It would normally have taken days or weeks.

 

"While on location with investigators, the Secret Service analyzed 13 items of digital evidence totaling five gigabytes of data," Fincher said. In total, 26 things were captured and are being evaluated alongside another five terabytes of data."
