Today marks the 28th anniversary of the death of legendary musician RD Burman. He died in Mumbai on January 4, 1994. Burman, also known as Pancham Da, is well-known for his distinctive melody and voice. Throughout his career, he composed music for a number of blockbuster films. Few people are aware that his estate was the subject of a bitter legal battle following his death. This was an argument between his wife, singer Asha Bhosle, and Pancham Da's secretary, Bharat. The property argument between the two became so heated that they began blaming each other. The situation was afterward reported to the police.
