Christian Jeffers has been charged with hate crimes after being suspected of a subway hammer attack

The guy who used a hammer to assault a shelter rider after striking the victim at a Manhattan station has been caught and accused of various hate crimes, according to authorities.

 

Christian Jeffer: - Christian Jeffers was detained on Wednesday and his identity was later confirmed by authorities. The 48-year-old was charged as a hate crime with assault, aggravated opportunity, and threatening.

Jeffers is also charged with weapons possession. While being brought out of the police station by officers, Jeffers stated that the other man in the station shoved him. Jeffers has been arrested in excess of 30 times. The police and the district attorney did not say what prompted the hate crime charges to be brought.

The arrest came less than 24 hours after Jeffers reportedly attacked another guy at the 14th Street station, slamming him in the head with a hammer. The victim stated that Jeffers purposefully bumped into him on Wednesday after depleting someone else on the platform, adding that he didn't have time to dispute before the hit was administered. They were driving home when they came upon the suspect at the turnstiles about 9 p.m.

Police first stated that the victim and the suspect had an altercation, however, the victim claims there was no quarrel. He claims that the suspect was the raider. He further claims that the suspect lingered around the friend who took the clip. The victim, who claims he has been in a continual state of anxiety since the incident, detailed the acute agony he felt.

 

He said that blood was gushing down the side of the face and that he was too stunned and bewildered to do much. I want to urge him to go to jail since he was easily agitated, stated the victim. He was looking for trouble. The sufferer was brought to Bellevue Hospital and is expected to recover physically.
