CLAT 2022

On January 1, 2022, the CLAT 2022 Application Form became available. The exam date has been set. CLAT is a nationwide entrance exam for undergraduate and postgraduate legal programmes at the country's 22 national law universities.

A consortium of National Law Universities administers the CLAT exam each year in May. Every year, tens of thousands of students from across the country apply for admission to NLUs.

CLAT Exam Date 2022

According to the announcement, two Common Law Admission Tests will be held in 2022. CLAT 2022 will be held on May 8, 2022, and CLAT 2023 will be held on December 18, 2022, respectively. The entire CLAT 2022 announcement will be made public this week.

CLAT Admission Process

Candidates must take the CLAT 2022 online entrance exam, which will be held this year by NUALS Kochi, to seek admission to one of the 22 participating NLUs.

Following the declaration of results, the candidates will be granted a seat in the NLU's preference order (as filled out in the online application form), based on seat availability and merit list.

As a result, there will be three stages to the CLAT 2022 selection process:

  2. Counselling
  3. Merit List

The National Law Universities (NLUs) in India (except for the NLU Delhi) and other top law colleges accept CLAT scores for admission to five-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes. The following courses are available:

  1. B.A. L.B. (Bachelor of Arts LLB)
  2. Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree (Bachelor of Science LLB)
  3. Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws (Bachelor of Commerce LLB)

CLAT Exam Pattern for UG Course

Only English will be accessible for the CLAT question paper for the UG Course. The UG-CLAT 2022 exam will last two hours and will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions worth one point each. There is also a 0.25-point penalty for each incorrect answer.

CLAT Exam Pattern for PG Course

CLAT for PG Course will be a two-hour test with a maximum score of 120 points. CLAT PG Exam 2022 has two sections, one of which is MCQ and the other is subjective. For each erroneous response, 0.25 points will be deducted.

CLAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

CLAT 2022 eligibility criteria cover the terms and conditions that the candidate must meet in order to appear in CLAT 2022, depending on the course (UG/PG) for which the candidate is seeking admission to Law School.

Eligibility criteria for UG program

Education Qualification: A 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised university or board is required.

Percentage Requirement: To take the CLAT 2022, you must have a minimum of 45 percent in your qualifying degree. SC and ST candidates only need 40% to pass.

Age limit: There is no maximum age.

Eligibility criteria for PG program

Education Qualification: The candidate must have completed an LLB or equivalent exam from a recognised university.

Percentage Requirement: Candidates from the General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories must have a minimum of 55% or its equivalent. SC/ST candidates are eligible for a 5% minimum-marks relaxation.

Age limit: There is no maximum age.

CLAT 2022 Application Form

The online application for the CLAT Entrance Test for both UG and PG Courses is expected to begin in January 2022. We will update this page as soon as the link is officially activated.

Step-I Register by providing information such as your name, email address, and mobile phone number.

Step-II After that, complete all relevant sections of the application form, including personal, academic, and contact information.

Step III: Upload scanned copies of your signature, photograph, and other documents in the format specified. The picture's size and format are shown below.

Step-IV Fill out the rest of the application form with your personal and qualification information, as well as your preference for NLUs.

CLAT 2022 Admit Card

The CLAT Admit Card will be available approximately two weeks before the exam dates. Because the exam is scheduled for May 8, 2022, the admit card will most likely be released in April 2022.

CLAT 2022 Result

Once the exam has been successfully completed, the authority will announce the CLAT 2022 results. Candidates can only access the CLAT results online. The outcome will include the roll number, candidate details, and the candidate's marks. To be eligible for the CLAT exam, a candidate must obtain the minimum qualifying marks.
