Daniel Bacher (born December 17, 2004 in Innsbruck, Tyrol) is an Austrian freestyle skier. He is currently a member of the Austrian Ski Association A-team and specializes in slopestyle and big wind park and pipe disciplines. In 2021 he won two silver medals at the World Junior Championships.
Daniel Baker hails from Fulpams in Stubaital and started skiing at the age of three at the Schlick 2000 ski area. After making an early decision to pursue a career in skiing, he has been attending the Saalfelden ski school since September 2019. He established his own amusement park called "Bacherzon" on top of his parents' house in Medraz.
At the age of twelve, Bacher entered his first FIS meet at Wilch. After some successes in junior slopestyle in February 2019, he won the Austrian Junior Championship title in this discipline. He finished 24th and 26th in Big Air and Slopestyle at the World Junior Championships in Clappen. In January 2020 he competed at the Leysin Youth Olympic Games, where they finished sixth and seventh in their particular disciplines.

At the same time, in March 2021, he achieved the first podium of the Slopestyle European Cup. At his second World Junior Championships in Krasnoyarsk two weeks later, he just had to give up his future partner Matej Svensor and win two silver medals.
Bacher made his freestyle ski World Cup debut at the Stubai Zoo Snowpark in Stubai Glacier on November 21, 2020 and finished 20th in Stubai Style. The following winter, with two World Cup finishes outside the top 20, he initially failed to qualify for the Beijing Olympics, but was called up after his teammate Samuel Baumgartner contracted COVID. At 17 years and nearly 50 days, he is the youngest athlete on the OC's 106-member team.
