Delhi Shramik Mitra Yojana has been launched by the Delhi government on 8 November 2021. Through this scheme, the benefits of state government scheme launched by the Delhi Construction Workers Welfare Board will be extended to the workers of Delhi. For which 800 Shramik Mitras will be appointed by the Delhi government. Who will go to the house of construction workers and connect them with the schemes. Information about various schemes launched by Shramik Mitras for workers will be provided to the workers. So that he can get the benefits of all these schemes. This information was provided by Deputy CM Manish Sisodia that 700 to 800 Shramik Mitras will be appointed under this scheme, who will work as district, assembly and ward coordinators.
It will be ensured that at least three to four Shram Mitras are available in each ward. Not only the information about the schemes will be conveyed to the workers by the Shramik Mitras, but the work of getting the workers applied and helping the workers till the benefits of the schemes will be done. Through this scheme, workers will be able to develop and more and more workers will get the benefits of government schemes. Apart from this, this scheme will also prove to be effective in making the workers aware.
* All the laborers of Delhi will get information about government schemes on time.
* 800 Shramik Mitras will be appointed from among the workers.
* The work of Shramik Mitras will be to provide information about the scheme to the workers as well as apply for it and extend all possible help to them till they get the benefit of the scheme.
* Sharmik friends will be given training, after which they will work as district, assembly and ward coordinators.
* There will be 3-4 Shramik Mitras for the workers in each ward.
* Rs 3-5 lakh will be given for house construction.
* An amount of Rs 30,000 will be provided in maternity benefit.
* A loan of Rs 20,000 and assistance of Rs 5,000 will be given for purchasing work related tools.
* On the death of the worker, the family will be given 1 lakh and in case of accidental death, 2 lakh will be given.
* In case of disability, the assistance amount of 1 lakh and pension of 3000 rupees will be given every month.
* 35,000 to 51,000 rupees will be given for the marriage of workers and their children.
* 500 to 10,000 rupees per month will be given to the children of laborers for school education and higher education.
* An old age pension of Rs 3,000 will be given per month and will be increased by Rs 300 every year.
The Delhi government operates many schemes in the interest of the workers, but due to lack of information, the eligible workers are deprived of taking advantage of these schemes. The purpose of Shramik Mitra Scheme is to make timely information about the scheme to the workers, so that they can get the benefits of the schemes. The Delhi government will select 800 Shramik Mitras from among the workers, who will convey the information about the schemes to their brothers on time.
