Henry Winkler Wiki and Bio:- Henry Winkler is an American actor, comedian, author, producer, and director. He was born in New York City, New York, U.S., on October 30, 1945. Winkler rose to prominence as Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli on the American television sitcom Happy Days, and he has since distinguished himself as a character actor for roles on stage and in cinema. Winkler has received three Emmys, two Golden Globes, and two Critics Choice Awards. He was a regular on the NBC reality show Better Late Than Never (2016-2018). In 2003, he relied on his childhood dyslexia issues to co-write the Hank Zipzer series of children's novels, which he later converted into the BBC adaptation Hank Zipzer (2014-2016), in which Winkler features as Mr. Rock. In addition, he published two autobiographies, The Other Side of Henry Winkler: My Story (1976) and I've Never Met an Idiot on the River (2011).
The Emmy Award-winning actor, who played Arthur Herbert "The Fonz" Fonzarelli on "Happy Days," has penned a new biography, "Being Henry: The Fonz and Beyond," which was released on Halloween. In it, the actor discussed how he rose to stardom in the iconic comedy and how the popularity of his role affected his friendship with Ron Howard, who portrayed Richie Cunningham on the program.
"I was very aware that I should never be less than respectful to him," Winkler, 78, told Fox News Digital. "I was always careful not to show anything that was going on with me on the sound stage in front of the cast members, including him." I was fortunate that [my character's fame] occurred, but I was part of an ensemble, which was more important than bragging."
