About House of the Dragon:- is a prequel to Game of Thrones an American fantasy drama television series (2011–2019). Both shows are based on George R. R. Martin's novel A Song of Ice and Fire. Martin and Ryan Condal created House of the Dragon for HBO, and Condal and Miguel Sapochnik serve as showrunners. The series, which is based on elements of the novel Fire & Blood, is set around 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen. It depicts the beginning of House Targaryen's demise, the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen war of succession known as the "Dance of the Dragons."

Who Is in Production and Cast of House of the Dragon?

House of the Dragon Development:- George R. R. Martin, the creator of A Song of Ice and Fire, claimed in November 2018 that a "possible spin-off series would be solidly based on material in Fire & Blood." By September 2019, HBO was on the verge of ordering a pilot for Martin and Ryan Condal's Game of Thrones prequel series, which "tracks the beginning of the end for House Targaryen."

 

House of the Dragon Writing:- Casey Bloys, HBO's President of Programming, said in January 2020 that the writing process had begun and that the series will premiere in 2022.

 

House of the Dragon Cast:- The casting process began in July 2020. Paddy Considine was cast as Viserys I Targaryen in October 2020. Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, and Emma D'Arcy had been cast as Alicent Hightower, Daemon Targaryen, and Rhaenyra Targaryen, respectively, by December, while Danny Sapani was in talks to join in an unidentified role. Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, and Sonoya Mizuno joined the main cast in February 2021. Ser Criston Cole was played by Fabien Frankel, who joined the cast in April. Graham McTavish was sighted on site in full costume in May. In July 2021, Emily Carey and Milly Alcock were added to the cast.
