Chopra. He had various funny parts in many films, but he is most recognized for his portrayal of Soorma Bhopali in the film Sholay. Jagdeep was married three times and had six children. Following the success of Afsana, he was cast in a number of films, including Ab Dilli Door Nahin, K A Abbas' Munna, and Hum Panchi Ek Dal Ke. The year 1957 was a turning point in Jagdeep's career. He appeared in the children's film Hum Panchi Ek Dal Ke, for which he was honored among other artists by India's Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Career: - He began his career as a comic with Bimal Roy's Do Bigha Zameen, followed by Teen Bahuraniyan (1968), Jeene Ki Raah (1969), Darpan (1970), Gora Aur Kala (1972), Ankh Micholi (1972), Insaaniyat (1974), Jaggu (1975), Chala Murari Hero Banne (1977), and many others. In the film Shikwa, he played the role of the youthful Dilip Kumar. He also played Negative roles in the films Ek Masoom and Mandir-Masjid. His most well-known comedy part is that of Soorma Bhopali in the film Sholay. His most famous line from the film is "Hamara Naam Soorma Bhopali Aisei Nahi Hai."
