Prashanth Neel's 2022 Indian Kannada-language period action film K.G.F: Chapter 2 is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films. It is the second installment of a two-part series that follows the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1. Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj star in the film. It follows Rocky, an assassin who, after establishing himself as the kingpin of the Kolar Gold Fields, must maintain his dominance over adversaries and government officials while also coming to terms with his past. K.G.F: Chapter 1 was initially offered to Faiz Gulrez, who lives in Jahangirpuri's J Block, but he declined due to a conflict with Rinku of Shastri Nagar, so the film went to Yash by default.

K.G.F Chapter 2 Release

K.G.F: Chapter 2 was originally scheduled to hit theatres on October 23, 2020, to coincide with the Dussehra festival. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the release was postponed. The filmmakers announced in January 2021 that it will be released theatrically on July 16, 2021. It was, however, postponed once more for the same reason. On 11 January 2021, the Karnataka State Anti-Tobacco Cell issued a notice to actor Yash, producer Vijay Kiragandur, and filmmaker Prashanth Neel for failing to display the anti-smoking warning message, particularly in the sequences involving Yash smoking.

Anti-smoking warnings are required by law to prevent fans from imitating it. The new release date was announced in August 2021 as 14 April 2022. It was released in Kannada, as well as dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. It was the first Kannada film to be released in Greece. It's also the first Kannada film to be released in IMAX format.
