Loris Karius was born in 1993 to parents, Christine and Harald Karius in Biberach, Germany. Loris Karius grew up athletic and was initially destined to be a motorcross rider but his focus was on football. Because his football career started when he was very young, Loris Karius attended tutoring in private outside normal schooling hours.

Club Career

Loris Karius rose through the ranks when he joined VfB Stuttgart where he appeared for the National German under 16s team where in 2008, he played against Macedonia. He later played against Azerbaijain and was headhunted to join Manchester City in the under-18s team.

He was loaned by Mainz 05 and as made permanent after signing a two-year deal with the team. In a game against Hannover, Loris Darius became the youngest goalkeeper in the teams at the age of 19 years.

At 23years, Loris Karius joined Liverpool FC for a fee of 4.75 Million Pouds on a five-year deal and was given the number 1 jersey. Two years later, he was replaced by Alisson Becker. He has since been loaned out to Turkish team Besiktas and German team, Union Berlin. Loris Karius left Liverpool at the end of his contract and moved to Newcastle United where his initial contract ended end of January 2023 but has now been extended until the end of the season.
