Lifestyle & Career: - Kelly joined TV-am as Scotland Correspondent in early October 1984. Following her coverage of the Pan Am Flight 103 catastrophe in Lockerbie, Scotland, in July 1989, Kelly co-hosted TV Summer am's Sunday show with lead reporter Geoff Meade. Throughout the rest of 1989, Kelly filled in for the regular weekday show's hosts. She joined Mike Morris as a primary presenter of Good Morning Britain on January 31, 1990.

Kelly helped start GMTV in January 1993 by presenting a variety of programs. Her first assignment was to introduce the new Top of the Morning. When Fiona Armstrong left the main GMTV program in March, Kelly went to the main breakfast show with Eamonn Holmes. Kelly went on maternity leave in June 1994, but was quickly fired from her major presenting jobs; she returned in November 1994 to perform a mother and baby slot. Kelly's show was renamed LK Today in the autumn of 2000, as GMTV relaunched to GMTV Today. As part of the later rebranding in 2009, the show's title was changed to GMTV with Lorraine, to correspond with GMTV Today's return to GMTV.
