Early Life & Career: - Manjrekar has appeared in various films, including several of his own. He initially appeared in the Doordarshan Marathi serial Kshitij, where he played a leprosy patient. He rose to prominence as an actor after appearing in the 2002 film Kaante. Then he portrayed negative parts in the Tamil film Arrambam (2013), the Telugu film Okkadunnadu (2007), and as the thug Javed in the film Slumdog Millionaire (2008). In the Marathi film Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy, he played Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He also portrayed Harpeez Dongara in the Indian TV series C.I.D.'s Aakhri Chunauti series of episodes. Manjrekar received critical appreciation for his performance as Inspector D.R. Talpade in the film Wanted.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he ran as an MNS candidate from Mumbai North West, however, he was defeated by Shiv Sena candidate Gajanan Kirtikar.
