Early Life: - Lewis was born in 1972 at Manchester's Withington Hospital. His family resided in Didsbury, a Manchester suburb. He relocated with his family as a boy to Norley, near Delamere Forest in rural Cheshire, where his father was appointed principal of Delamere Forest School, a Jewish school for pupils with severe educational needs. After his mother died in a car accident while he was a youngster, he became a patron of the children's grief organization Grief Encounter and an advocate for life insurance.
Professional Career: - Lewis began his career as a producer for the BBC Business Unit, working on BBC Radio Five Live business programs and as an editor for BBC Radio 4's Today program business slot after graduating from Cardiff University.
