He has worked with filmmakers like Ashutosh Gowarikar, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the course of his 20-year career.
Nitin Desai Biography: - Nitin Desai was born on 9 August 1965 in Mulund, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Before beginning his career in cinema, Desai studied photography at the J.J. School of Art and L.S. Raheja School of Arts in Mumbai. He was a Marathi-speaking student at Wamanrao Muranjan High School in Mulund.
Nitin Desai Career: - He arrived to Mumbai's Film City Studios for the first time in May 1987 and promptly made the transition from still photography's 2-D format to the 3-D realm of art direction. He worked as a fourth assistant alongside renowned art director Nitish Roy on Govind Nihalani's 1987 period TV series Tamas. Following that, he contributed to two TV shows: Kabir for five and a half years and Chanakya for the first 25 episodes before taking over on his own for the 26th episode.
With the 2003 release of the devotional movie Desh Devi Maa Ashapura, he began producing films. He inaugurated the ND studios in 2005, and they are located in Karjat, on the outskirts of Mumbai. Later, Reliance Entertainment acquired a 50% share in the studio, which is spread across 52 acres (21 hectares), for roughly Rs 1.50 billion. With the Marathi television series Raja Shivchhatrapati, which was a major success, he transitioned to creating TV shows.
