Madhu Babu Pension Scheme was first established in January 2008 by the Odisha State Government. The main objective of making Madhu Babu Pension Scheme was that the Odisha State Government should get financial assistance from the government to the destitute old people and disabled elderly people of Odisha State.

By the way, the pension scheme which was announced by the Odisha State Government in the year 2008 was divided into two parts.The name of the first part was the Old Age Pension Rule which was made in the year 1989 and the second part was the Disabled Pension Rule which was made in the year 1985.

At present, combining these two pension schemes, the Odisha State Government has given a new name, which they named Madhu Babu Pension Scheme.

Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Yojana 2022 Objectives

main objective of Odisha Madhubabu Pension Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the helpless elderly people of the state of Odisha, disabled people, widow women and transgender community to strengthen them financially. Odisha state government will help the old person, widow women, handicapped person etc. by providing some amount as pension per month.

Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Yojana 2022 Benefits

• many destitute old people are there in the state of Odisha. who have no family of their own. Who haven't any one to attend to them. Such old people will get financial assistance from the government under Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Scheme.
• Under the disability pension scheme, the disabled old persons will also get financial assistance in the Orissa Madhubabu Pension Scheme.
• Widow old women will also get pension from Odisha State Government under Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Scheme i.e. Widow Pension Scheme.
• Under the Odisha Madhubabu Pension Scheme, the people receiving pension in the state of Odisha are divided into three parts. One who is widow and dependant old people. The second one who is an old person who has no one to look after and the third number is kept for eunuch old people.
• Apart from this, if there is any old person suffering from leprosy in the state of Odisha. So such people will also get benefits under Odisha Madhubabu Pension Scheme.
• In the state of Odisha, if any old person is suffering from HIV or AIDS disease then they will also get benefit under Odisha Madhubabu Pension Scheme.

Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Yojana 2022 Amount

If the age of the applicant karta is between 60 years to 80 years. Then they will be provided ₹ 500 per month by the Odisha state government.

On the other hand, if the applicant's age is more than 80 years, then they will be given ₹ 700 per month from the Odisha state government.

Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Yojana 2022 eligibility

1. The benefit of Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Scheme will be available only to the old person of Odisha state.
2. Applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha State.
3. Applicant's age should be more than 60 years.
4. If a person suffering from leprosy wants to take advantage of Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Yojana. So he has to give proof that he is suffering from this disease.
5. Any old person who wants to avail benefits of Odisha Madhu Babu Pension Scheme. The annual income of his family should not exceed ₹24000.
6. If a person is suffering from HIV and AIDS, then in such a situation they will also have to give proof that they are suffering from these diseases.
7. If the applicant is already taking advantage of any government pension scheme, then he will not be able to get the benefit of this scheme at all.
8. If the person receiving the pension lives in rural area, then he will get the amount of pension from the BDO office of his village and if the person lives in the city then he will get the amount of pension from the DASO office of his city.
