PRADAN (Professional Assistance for Development Action) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to assisting India's rural underprivileged. PRADAN personnel work with underprivileged communities in seven of the country's poorest states to assist them escape poverty and live a life of dignity.
PRADAN encourages the formation of Self-Help Groups, the development of locally appropriate economic activities, the mobilisation of funds from government schemes, and the introduction of models to enhance the rural poor's livelihoods and sustain their success.
PRADAN mapped out a strategy to increase our influence in 2014. Today, our efforts are focused on achieving multi-dimensional results through holistic empowerment of people in the country's poorest areas. By 2022, we hope to have reached 10 million people in 12,500 communities across the seven states where we work.

Social Mobilisation:- Reaching out to the poorest areas, developing human talents, and empowering women's self-reliant collectives as change agents are all examples of social mobilisation.
Food security:- Food security entails reducing hunger and maintaining food availability all year.
Natural Resource Management:- Making the most of nature's resources through stewardship, appropriate technology, and investments.
Livelihood:- Building models of alternative livelihoods and teaching the community in new skill sets are examples of livelihoods.
Market Connectivity:- Connecting to markets, financial institutions, and government.
Governance:- Educating the community about its rights and giving them the power to influence how things are run.
No poverty:- 50 percent livelihood coverage for 500,000 households with a gross income of more than $100,000.
Zero hunger:- 500,000 families with year-round food security and a variety of crops to meet nutritional requirements.
Gender equality:- 750,000 women with heightened awareness of gender, caste, and social class inequality.
Climate change:- 100,000 families invest in agricultural infrastructure to create climate-resilient settlements and improve lives.
Clean water & Sanitation:- 6,000 communities (50 percent) with adequate safe drinking water and 3,000 villages (25-30 percent) without open defecation.
Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions:- 25,000 collectives supporting other collectives, multiplying institutions for and by the poor.
