Aadhaar will now be mandatory to take advantage of central and state government schemes administered by the Department of Horticulture and Food Processing. Other than Aadhaar, people will not be asked for any other documents.
Government of India funded schemes including Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, Integrated Horticulture Mission, National Medicinal Plant Mission, Prime Minister's Micro Food Enterprises Upgradation Scheme, First Horticultural Crops, Mechanization Promotion Scheme for the Horticultural development, medicinal and aromatic acreage expansion plan, vegetable acreage expansion plan and spice acreage expansion plan are in operation.
These schemes are operated with the consolidated funds of the central and state governments, so Aadhaar will be used as an identity document to make use of these services. This will also make things easier for people and after that they will not need to deliver any other documents. This will also prevent fraud in the schemes and ensure that the right person benefits from the scheme.

At the unit cost of the components built under the scheme, polyethylene houses, shed houses, plastic mulch, etc., subsidies will be paid to farmers on various components at a rate of 50 percent as provided in the central scheme / state administered by the Department.
