Steve Martin Wife- Early Life/Career

Steve Martin was born on 14 August 1945 in Waco, TX. He used to sell guidebooks after school on weekends at Disneyland. His first film was made into the short-subject film Disneyland Dream. In August, he took a paying job at the Magic shop in Fantasyland after learning several magic tricks and illusions.

Steve attended Santa Ana College after high school. He took classes in drama and English poetry.  He also participated in comedies and other productions at the Bird Cage Theatre. He joined a comedy troupe at Knott's Berry Farm. He met budding actress Stormie Sherk who developed his comedy routines because of Sherk's influence he apply to California State University, Long Beach, for enrollment with a major in philosophy.

Martin got a writing job with the show by submitting his work to head writer Mason Williams. Martin wrote for The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour and The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour.His first television show was in 1968 The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. His album, A Wild and Crazy Guy, was a bigger success. Martin has also appeared in The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and on The Gong Show, HBO's On Location, The Muppet Show, and NBC's Saturday Night Live as a stand-up comedian.
