The Hope House

The Hope House is an NGO based in Tamilnadu, India. The NGO is registered a public charitable trust in Tamilnadu in 2013. The Hope House Registered Office is located in Vellore and they have nine boards of trustees to run the organization.

The Hope House is a Non-govt Organization, Started in 2013. It's a Non-Profitable Organization that Helps Children. Organizations Active in Tamilnadu State And Going To Grow in all over in India.

Activity

The Hope house focus is children and the approach that follows is 'rights based'. Board our activities are divided into two categories namely 'institutional' and 'non-institutional' care.

In institutional care, They take in children that need care and protection and cater to their needs till they are reintegrated into their communities. Their institutional care services are redered at The Hope House facility in Katagiri.

In the non-institutional care service category, Hope House again caters to the needs of children that need care and protection but can be remained in their own communities by extending needed help to them. Currently, They have three projects.

1. Community Outreach Program. This program is meant for the families that are burdened with HIV/ Disability/ Child Labor and Tuberculosis.

2. Financial literacy & LIfeskills among Youth through Training and Empowerment

3. Project YUVA Project for the Young People to Understand and Verbalize Adolescence) in partnership with Christian Medical College, Vellore, and Childline India Foundation, Mumbai.

Hope House is a registered charitable trust in Tamilnadu started by three friends who were worked in the USA Mr. Ruby Nakka Mr. Manoah Mohanraj and Mr. Thomas Mathew. They studied Occupational & Physiotherapy at Christian Medical College in Vellore in the late '80s. After Few years of very successful work, the thought of returning home to serve India occurred to Ruby, and he shared this idea with his other two friends who readily agreed, encouraged, and supported him in his humanitarian vision and later became “hands-on” involved themselves.
