UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2022 Overview

The social beliefs have been deep-rooted in India. But they have always been insensitive to the girls and women of the country. The existing discrimination in society and narrow thinking has forced them to commit heinous crimes like female feticide, child marriages. Leading to this girls are deprived of their basic fundamental rights like education, health, and many more.

The government of Uttar Pradesh has come forward to provide girls with higher education and employment opportunities.

The scheme is implemented into six (6) categories. Let’s look at each category one by one:

Step 1: Girl child born on or after 01/04/2019 will be entitled to a lump sum amount of Rs.2000

Step 2: Girls born not before 01/04/2018 will be given a lump sum amount of Rs.1000 who have been fully vaccinated within one year.

Step 3: Girls who have taken admission in the first class during the current academic session will be given a lump sum amount of Rs.2000.

Step 4: Girls who have taken admission in class VI during the current academic session will be provided with a lump sum amount of Rs.2000.

Step 5: Girls who have taken admission in class V during the current academic session will be provided with a lump sum amount of Rs.3000.

Step 6: All those girls who have passed 10th/12th class and have taken admission in graduation degree or at least two years diploma during the current academic session will be provided with a lump sum amount of Rs.5000.

UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana Registration Process

• The interested candidates willing to take advantage of this scheme can register themselves online.

• Go to the official website https://mksy.up.gov.in/women_welfare/index.php

• A home page will be displayed in front of you.

• You can see the link to the Citizen Service Portal. Click on this link.

• An application form will appear on the screen. Fill the form with appropriate details as asked.

• You will be asked to give your consent by clicking on the check box. If you agree then click the check box.

• A new page will appear asking for your contact details like your contact number. OTP will be sent to your mobile number for the purpose of verification.

• A form will open in front of you where you have to enter your personal details carefully and correctly and click on the ‘Submit’ button.

UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana Application Form

To check the status of the application, the applicant shall follow the following steps:

• Go to the official website of the Department of Skill, Employment. A home page will be displayed in front of you.

• You can see the link to the Citizen Service Portal. Click on this link. Login with the credentials.

• Fill the application form with the correct information of the daughter and attach the requisite documents.

• Complete the registration process by clicking on the submit button.

UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana Eligibility Criteria

• Only the family members who are permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh can become beneficiaries under this scheme.

• The family annual income of the beneficiary should not exceed

• A maximum of two girl children of a family can get the benefit of the scheme.

• If a woman has twins from the second delivery, the benefit will also be admissible to the girl child as the third child.

• In case a family has adopted an orphan girl child, then the legally adopted girl child can also become the beneficiary include the biological girl child.
