• Under the Kisan Uday Yojana, the government has approved a budget of 70 crores.
• The government would roll out Kisan Uday Yojana in stages, with the first phase providing free pump sets to these areas. Ghazipur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Mathura, Aligarh, and Ambedkar Nagar are among the cities. Farmers in these cities can benefit from the scheme by applying.
