Waheeda Rehman Biography:- Waheeda Rehman was born on 3 February 1938 in Chengalpet, Madras Presidency, British India. She is an Indian actress. Considered one of the most successful actresses of Hindi cinema, she has appeared in over 90 feature films in her career spanning over five decades. She studied at St. Joseph's Convent, Visakhapatnam. Her father was Mohammad Abdur Rahman and her mother was Mumtaz Begum, and she was the youngest of 4 daughters.
She was honored with civilian awards in India. Padma Shri in 1972 and Padma Bhushan in 2011. In 2021, she was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India's highest award in the field of cinema. Rahman dreamed of becoming a doctor, but due to her family's emotional and financial circumstances as well as her mother's illness, she abandoned her goal. To help her family, she accepted film offers because of her dancing abilities. Rahman started her film career in the Tamil film Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalam as a dancer. In the mid-1950s, she established a working relationship with Dev Anand, with several successful films to her credit, including Solva Saal (1958).
