Balram Talab Yojana 2022: Farmers would have needed enough water for farming. In the rainy and cold seasons, water is available to irrigate the farmers, but in the summer there is a water shortage. Due to lack of water, the farmer is not able to irrigate his crops properly, as a result of which his crop gets spoiled.Understanding this problem of farmers, Balram Talab Yojana was started by the Madhya Pradesh government. With the help of Madhya Pradesh Khet Talab Yojna, small ponds, Talai or Diggi are constructed in the fields of farmers. In which they store water for summer.
This useful scheme for farmers was started on 25 May 2007-08. Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department operates the Madhya Pradesh Balram Talab Yojana. Grant is given with the help of scheme for construction of farm pond. When this scheme was started in the year 2007-08, at that time 25% (maximum 50 thousand) of the cost of the pond was given by the government. However, later it was increased to a maximum of 80 thousand. Apart from this, Balram Talab Yojana was also included in the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana.

Different grant amount has been fixed in the scheme for each category of farmers.
If a farmer of the general category gets a pond or diggi constructed in his field, then 40 percent of the total cost (maximum 80 thousand rupees) is given by the government.
50 percent subsidy (maximum Rs.80 thousand) has been fixed for small marginal farmers.
The highest 75 percent grant (maximum Rs 1 lakh) is given to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes on the total expenditure.
If the farmer does not have the amount, he can also take a loan through the Balram Talab 2021 scheme.
Balram Talab Yojana MP Scheme has been included under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. Under this scheme, a part of the farmers' fields will be converted into a pond. For which subsidy will also be provided by the government. When it rains, rainwater will be collected in these ponds so that water can be easily watered from these ponds at the time of irrigation of crops. There will also be a reduction in the fall in the water level due to the pond itself.

Only farmers who have installed drip or sprinkler sets under any scheme run by the department in the state in the financial year 2017-18 and after that will be eligible for the construction of the pond and at present, the land is in working condition. The Conservation Survey Officer will ensure that the application of the farmers is ensured by marking its tip in the application.
It is necessary to have own land for making a pond. The leased land which is not occupied by the farmers or construction work on the encroached land will not be approved.
