Lifestyle & Career: - Prior to entering politics, Kaili worked as a newscaster for Mega Channel from 2004 until 2007. Kaili joined the PASOK Youth in 1992. She was President of the School of Architecture Students' Association in 2001, and by 2002, she was the youngest member of the Thessaloniki City Council.

Kaili was the youngest candidate running in the 2004 national elections. She was elected to the Hellenic Parliament for the first district of Thessaloniki in the 2007 national elections. She was the PASOK party's youngest member of Parliament at the time. She was re-elected in the 2009 national elections and served until 2012. Kaili was chosen with 454 votes in the first round to become one of fourteen Vice Presidents of the European Parliament on January 18, 2022. On December 10, she was relieved of her vice-presidential duties. Kaili was the Head of the Hellenic S&D delegation from 2019 to 2022, until her dismissal from the party.
