Haryana Pashudhan Bima Yojana has been started by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Milking, Haryana. The scheme was begun on 29 July 2016. Under this scheme, insurance cover will be provided to the owner of the animals. In this scheme cow, below, pig, and more meet and milk supplier animals include for insurance. For which premium ranging from ₹ 25 to ₹ 100 will have to be paid. After payment of this premium, they will get 3 years of insurance from the insurance company. If the animal dies during this 3 year period then compensation will be provided to the animal by the insurance company. Scheduled caste citizens can take advantage of this scheme free of cost.
Under this scheme, animals will be insured so that even if they die, their parents can get insurance compensation so that they do not have to suffer loss and do not face difficulties because such people of the country who are dependent on animal husbandry and from animal husbandry. Only their family runs, for them, this plan will prove to be very useful. Under this, he can get an insurance cover of up to Rs 25-100 for 3 years so that he can claim the death of the animal in the future during the period. Under the scheme, an insurance claim of up to 88000 for buffalo, 80000 for cow, 40000 for the horse, 5000 for sheep, 5000 for goat, 5000 for pig has been kept under the scheme.

The objective of the scheme is to give compensation to the livestock owners after the death of their animals. Under the Livestock Insurance Scheme, 1,00,000 animals will be insured. Those who belong to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be able to take the benefit of this scheme free of cost. This scheme will also improve the condition of livestock farmers.

Under this scheme, 50% subsidy will be provided by the government to APL category cattle breeders and 70% subsidy to BPL, SC, ST farmers in the amount of premium.
If the animal dies through the scheme, the financial condition of the animal husband will be saved from deteriorating.
It is mandatory for the animal owner to be a permanent resident of Hariyana (India).
All milk and meat-producing animals like buffalo, goats, sheep, camels,s, etc. are eligible for this scheme.
All those animals who have got insurance coverage under any other insurance scheme cannot take advantage of this scheme.
